The Beaver from "Leave it to Beaver" was in Syracuse Tuesday, letting people know about a free prescription program. Jerry Mathers says he nearly died from diabetes several years ago. Now he's doing great, thanks to a doctor's care, weight loss and proper medication.
"The PPA, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance, came to me, they were saying that there is a lot of people without insurance or who are struggling and what they do is help them get their meds free if they have a chronic disease," said Mathers.
